Mazda CX-9 Tops "Affordable Midsize SUVs" List

Even if you're not in the SUV market, Lujack Kia Mazda Mitsubishi, is willing to bet that you have at the very least heard of the Mazda CX-9. In a segment full of lemmings it's a gazelle. Or, as Motor Trend magazine says, "...a high-speed, canyon-carving seven-seater, the CX-9 is severely gifted."1

In just the past three short years, the Mazda CX-9 has earned four awards and seven raving reviews from some of the industries most distinguished critics. At the end of 2011, the SUV earned one more: a place at the top of U.S. News and World Reports' "Affordable Midsize SUVs" list.

Among the reviews there are several themes that seem to have emerged such as the Mazda CX-9 has small-car zip, it's a fun driving experience with precise handling, sophisticated good looks and highly competitive resale value within the full-size SUV segment. Take, for example. They say, "...[The Mazda CX-9] should be required driving for those who say that full-size SUVs are, by definition a snooze to pilot - it whips through corners and hustles down straightaways like a vehicle half its size."1

Now, you might be asking yourself at what cost does the Mazda CX-9 SUV's power come. It's easy to assume Mazda sacrificed fuel economy for power, but you would be wrong. Even with 273 hp, the CX-9 still offers a competitive 24 mpg/hwy.

Still need more convincing? Lujack Kia Mazda Mitsubishi is happy to inform you Mazda is launching an even more fuel-efficient CX variant, the CX-5 this year. It is slated to hit our showroom sometime this month with an EPA-estimated 33 mpg/hwy. That's nearly 10 miles per gallon more than the new CX-9!
