Sale Climb over Last Year for Mazda

We have to be honest in saying that it is not really a huge shock when drivers in the Davenport area who are searching for a new car look to Mazda. With a variety of body styles, including compacts, sedans and SUVs, all with bold styling and fuel efficiency to boot, last month was a busy month for us at Lujack Kia Mazda Mitsubishi, and Mazda dealers nationwide.  In fact, Mazda recorded its best April sales in the past five year, as sales are up 21 percent on a calendar year-to-date basis.

With 103,529 new Mazda vehicles sold thus far, this is the first time in nearly a decade Mazda has sold more than one hundred thousand  vehicles so early in the year. Much of this is thanks to the new 2013 Mazda CX-5, a crossover that has been impressing drivers and critics alike. Earning titles such as "2012 Crossover of the Year" by Autobytel, and IIHS 'Top Safety Pick' honors as well. The new CX-5 sold 3,521 vehicles alone last month while Mazda6 sales are up 38.3-percent from last year.

One other technological feature that has sparked interest and driven sales for the automaker is the introduction of SKYACTIV® TECHNOLOGY, the automaker's engineering-focused philosophy aimed at improving and producing fuel efficient vehicles. The 2013 Mazda CX-5 for example, has the highest highway fuel economy rating among any SUV solid in the US, registering 35 miles per gallon highway. The compact Mazda3 also ranks up there among the most fuel-efficient on the market, churning out up to 40 mpg hwy. as well. Demonstrating its value, Mazda vehicles with SKYACTIV® TECHNOLOGY accounted for 25-percent of sales in April.
