Takashi Yamanouchi, Mazda's global boss, gave the official word at the start of the 2012 Paris Motor Show saying that the company will offer up eight SKYACTIV TECHNOLOGY-based models by the year 2016. This is only four years away, which is really fast in auto world!

Though, even with the four year expected wait time, Yamanouchi hasn't announced exact dates for when each SKYACTIV TECHNOLOGY model will hit showroom floors. But, what we already do know is the all-new 2013 Mazda CX-5 and third-generation Mazda6 make up the first wo. But, of course we are still in the dark as of which model(s) will be preceding it.

To add on, Mazda enthusiasts are wondering whether or not a rotary-powered Mazda model will rest amongst the SKYACTIV TECHNOLOGY lineup. The answer? Only time will tell. Yamanouchi does leave us hopeful by remarking, "We will try to meet your expectations."1

Of course, we at Lujack Kia Mazda Mitsubishi will keep you in the loop as the months progress and more information is released. Until then, make sure to follow our blog for all Mazda news.
