Mazda News: Mazda MX-5 Miata Gets Another Boost from BBR

With no contest, we feel, one of the most popular two-seaters to date, the Mazda MX-5 Miata.  And this model is by no means not used to some good attention, and we at Lujack Kia Mazda Mitsubishi feel like it is about to get some more consumer interest in the UK. This is all thanks to a highly new performance package offered by the tuners at BBR.

A UK-based tuning company, Brodie Britain Racing, has always aimed towards the performance prowess towards new Mazda models. Experts at the BBR have reached new heights and come out with a performance package able to place the 2.0-liter Mazda MX-5 Miata roadster at 180 horsepower.

Aptly dubbed the "Super 180," the package includes the following stellar enhancements:

  • Stainless steel 4 into 1 exhaust manifold
  • 2.5-inch stainless steel exhaust center with high-flow catalytic converter and center silencer
  • Stainless steel rear silencer with adjustable tailpipes
  • High-flow performance panel air filter
  • Starchip ECU remap

These extra performance modifications definitely pack in some good power, and do with no effect on your hearing. This is unlike most aftermarket systems out there, the Super 180 keeps extra noise at a minimum, allowing drivers to enjoy the added oomph without any annoying droning.
